It was time for me to leave Oban. Loved it, nature, scenery, people, everything. Once again, as Im going with the flow, no proper plans made in advance. So after breakfast I head to the bus station. Infact its merely a bus stop, since the town is quite small. Im there about 9.20 just to realize, that there was a bus that went 8.50, and the next one is leaving 17.50, according to timetables. Well, that kind of a little thing wont disappoint me. I just have to find something to for a nice 7hours. I start wandering around the city, and there it is, my favourite phare of them all "free internet". So I enter the public library, and in one minute, Im a proud member of Oban library, as mentioned earlier in one of the posts.
One thing, that Ive learnd here, is to not trust the printed timetables, so I use the internet to check again the timetables, and voila, there a bus leaving to Fort Willian in 30 minutes. The Joys of internet...
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in whole Scotland, and there a lot of hikers trying to reach the top. Me amongst them. Of course I didnt have proper hiking gear with me, jo sneakers and jeans would have to do it. Well, after couple of hunder meters, as two sheeps were staring at me, and my heart and right knee were telling me no more, I listened them and decided that this is not just my thing ;) The scenery was awesome! All of you, ever consideering to go to Scotland, I can warmly recommend Ben Nevis. There is Hostel right next to it, just 45minutes walk from Fort William, and yes, I walked from Fort William.
This was the first time I tried beer on my journey. No sir, dont like it. Its been 5 years, since I have really liked one.
And to my favourite subject, the political climat in each persons home country. My apoligies Mr Germany(number something) and Ms Spain. We went far too deep in our conversation that evening =)
Oh man! I saw the Harry Pothead train in Fort William, I wasnt just quite fast enough to get a photo of it. Im not lying guys, its there, really
I think it was in Fort William, were I saw the first Kilted people in Scotland. I just cant help it, but everytime I see somebody wearing a kilt, it reminds me of this. Oh man, Im laughing at the moment, as Im watching the clip!
