7-9.11 Cesky Krumlov

The real and original Budweiser is made in Ceske Budejovic and the city was on my route towards Cesky Krumlov and Austria, Linz. Those are the reasons I decided to stay there for a night. Richard (from Prague) said to me that the place is worth 2 hours including a meal but I wanted to see my self. I spent one hour in Budejovic and hopped to a train again and went to C. K.
Richard had recommendet this Krumlov house-hostel in C. K. and there I went. Nice, cosy, small, just the way I prefer.
In C. K. we had a really nice group of people. The first evening I spent alone just watching some movies and having a nice medieval dinner but next day I met Jeremy (New Zealand), Iain (Canada), Simon and Anna (Ausralia) and we hung together the next couple of days eating some rabbit and pheasant, drinkin locar beer in very shady restaurants and pubs with some witty humor.
The town itself was beautiful, small and beautiful. It goes without saying that theres a castle and a old town center. Its difficult to imagine that those cobblestone streets used to be asphalt only 5 yers ago. Damn communists!*

*They wanted to tear everything old down and build concrete blocks. Thank god they didnt succeed everywhere, but still too many remarkable historical towns in former Eastern bloc was demolished in the name of communism and concrete. Having now seen a few of those cities (Prague, C. K. Bratislava, Ljubljana), it just makes my blood boil. Period.
