Dear reader....

Sometimes even the easiest tasks can be so f****** hard to accomplish.

This morning I decided that Im gonna fly to Germany tomorrow and visit my friend in Bochum.

As usual, hostels computers were all occupied and they had problems with wi-fi...shit.

Thank god there was Mr.America (Christopher), whom I had met earlier. He kindly borrowed his laptop, once again.

So I start surfing the internet. At this point I can say, that even though I love my "go with the flow" travelling, some decent planning would save some money.

So I try to find the cheapest flight to Dusseldorf. Ryan Air is something like 300€ and Air Lingus about as much.

Supersaver.fi found a ticket that would "only" cost 169€. Well, if that’s the cheapest one, that’ll have to do.

I input my name and all the usual stuff. Great, they dont even need my passport number.

At the point Im ready to purchase the ticket, they tell me that I cant pay it with my credit card, because there has been so many fake cards lately. Ok...hmmm...no problemo. I pay from ebank. Easier said than done. My bank does not happen to be on the list.

Shit. Well there is Nordea. I still have an account there, but I dont use it often, so I dont remember the username anymore...

Hah, I was clever before I left Finland. I have an usb-stick, where is all my passwords and usernames behind one master password, all but Nordeas. Great.

I call my pall Teppo in Finland (thanks btw), "Could you help me a bit?". "Of course, but Im on my way to home, so I call you in an hour".

No problemo, I just have to wait. At this point I was a bit annoyed by the whole thing.

An hour later Teppo calls. So I give him the details about the flight. Of course the flight is not there anymore?!?!? There is another one,

but its more expensive, it leaves earlier and its an hour later in Germany (via Stockholm).

Im starting to be a bit desperate, so I tell Teppo to go on, book it for me. Well, of course there is some kind of a problem!! F****** internet! Browser says something about an "invalid reference". Ok, thanks Teppo, I shall try another site and flight. I happen to find the original flight that I was trying to by from this another site. And yes, they do accept credit card payment.

I start filling the blanks, and this time my passport number is needed. Shiiiiit. I rush to my room to get my passport.

Wtf??? My keycard wont work, it gives me the red light. Oh fuck, now I remember. Last night at 6.00am, when I was returning from the town, I decided not to travel that day...I wonder why?

I tried to pay for one more night, but the “graveyard shift” girl didnt have any change, so she told me to pay it in the morning, and "refuel" my keycard. I had not yet done that. I run to the

reception and pay my one extra night. I get to the room, grab my passport and hurry back to the laptop. I fill in the last blanks. At the moment Im gonna hit "next page" button, the site kindly informs me that I have now exceeded the 10 minute time limit, and I have to start all over again. Nooooo. At this moment I was ready to throw something. "calm down my friend" said Cristopher and showed me a very relaxing picture of

a plant called...Oregano!

I fill in the blanks once more, and again, the site bitches me about something, and all of the info is gone. AAARRRRGGGHHH. I do this a couple of times and every time I get this same complaint. F***, guess I just have to join in to another lousy site.

Man! After a 3 hours struggle, I finally have the ticket booked, but my blood pressure must be through the roof. Another entry to the list of shame is about to happen.
